Have You Seen Desi Perkins' Melting Skull Makeup?


If you're looking for a really cool Halloween costume that is all about the makeup, you need to see Desi Perkins' melting skull. This look wraps beauty, body art, and special effects makeup into one AMAZING Halloween look. As PopSugar says, it is the "perfect solution for the beauty aficionado who wants to look on fleek and downright freaky." One side is exposed skull, the other glam that "melts" to reveal the creepy skeleton below. We aren't the only ones loving Desi's creation. Her Instagram video of this look has over 5 million views and the Instagram post with a still photo of the look has over 229,000 likes. The how-to YouTube video has over 1 million views. The look was also recently featured on PopSugar.com and Cosmopolitan.com.

Desi started off with the "beauty" application. Once that was complete, she used Mehron's Paradise Makeup AQ in Gray, White, and Black shades to create the underlying skull. Then she applied warmed up 3D Gel along the edges of the "beauty" makeup to achieve the "melting" drips - so easy, yet so incredibly dramatic. Last weekend Mehron Girl Nicole Aspradakis did the brand proud at the European Bodypainting Festival, taking 6th place overall. The event, hosted in the picturesque Netherlands, was a summer bodypainting fairy tale. The artists worked outdoors under tents in a beautiful park amid a lush, green landscape.
