Don't Miss Jinny's Workshop at Living Art America


Are you a body artist? Then you don't want to miss Living Art America, which takes place September 23-25. This professional artist event, which includes workshops and a competition, draws talent from all over the world. This year Living Art America was engaged by Arts Greensboro to produce the North American Bodypainting Championship as the headline event of Greensboro, North Carolina's 17 day festival. Visitors will see amazing artistry come to life before their eyes. The excitement on the competition floor is electrifying. It's their skills against the clock. They have 2 1/2 hours to create their masterpiece, which will be presented before a panel of judges and onstage in a spectacular runway show. The talented Jinny, who is co-creator of our Paradise Makeup AQ line - will be one of those judges. She will also be teaching the inspirational Mehron workshop Bodypainting with Jinny.  Jinny's vibrant abstract designs, clever use of color, and amazing brush control have made her one of the most sought after artists in the field. Her work has been featured in international media, magazines, books, movies, commercials and more. She has also been the artistically creative influence behind several Cirque du Soleil special event productions. In this workshop, Jinny will be your private coach - sharing constructive criticism while she ads lines, highlights, and shadows as she helps you perfect your brush and blending techniques.   • Professional Competition - See pros at the top of their game compete for the title. Entertainment includes live musical acts and performance artists. There will also be a vendor marketplace. 2:00 PM at Greensboro Coliseum.
Sunday, September 25th
  • Art With a Heart Gala - A catwalk presentation of the winning emerging and professional artists that raises funds for the Chelko Foundation, a not-for-profit whose mission is to empower women worldwide through art, education, and partnership. The winning artists will reprise their paintings and present them as part of a runway style show. There were also be live musical performances.

The European Bodypainting Festival

Last weekend Mehron Girl Nicole Aspradakis did the brand proud at the European Bodypainting Festival, taking 6th place overall. The event, hosted in the picturesque Netherlands, was a summer bodypainting fairy tale. The artists worked outdoors under tents in a beautiful park amid a lush, green landscape. In this open air space, fans could watch over the artists' shoulders as they created their magic. Their art was then presented in a spectacular stage show. Nicole's creations brought powerful messages to life. In Round 1, themed Wonders of Nature, Nicole expressed her concern for ocean life.
